See All Leadership

I lead the teams responsible for ENGIE Impact’s legal operations, facilities, safety, and corporate sustainability. We create and protect business value by establishing the legal framework of our relationships, ensuring ethical and transparent operations, and driving our own corporate sustainability.

In what way do you and the teams you lead further contribute to ENGIE Impact’s mission to accelerate sustainable transformation?

We accelerate the sustainability transformation by ensuring that ENGIE Impact ‘walks the talk’ when it comes to our own sustainability transformation. We implement practices and policies to ensure transparent and ethical relationships with internal and external stakeholders, measure and monitor our own impact on the world around us and act to consistently improve our way of being.

What does success at ENGIE Impact look like?

Organizations understand that they need to transform their operations for a sustainable future, but it’s a complex process with many uncertainties. ENGIE Impact will be successful when we have led so many organizations through their transformation that what is today a unique path becomes just the way business is done.

How did your background prepare you for this role at ENGIE Impact?

Sustainability requires balancing the needs of current and future stakeholders within the context of your business. My background enables me to lead the ethical decision-making process that all companies must engage in to find their way towards a more sustainable future.

  • I joined ENGIE Impact in 2013 as Corporate Counsel and then became Associate General Counsel and Director of Legal Operations, managing our attorneys, paralegals and professionals to deliver full-spectrum legal services to our business teams and develop a best-in-class contract management system. Later, as both Chief Legal Officer and Chief Legal and Human Resources Officer, I ensured that we appropriately managed risk while delivering our market-leading services, and oversaw our legal and HR teams, including human resources, corporate social responsibility, employee engagement, facilities and safety.
  • I started my career as a business attorney 15 years ago, providing legal counsel to businesses ranging from local start-ups to international Fortune 500s.

What do you like to do when you’re not in the office?

When I’m not working, I visit with my family on the beautiful San Juan Island in Washington state, read novels on my front porch in Portland, and travel with my husband Mike (we have a big trip this year to Japan).
