Managing Director, Sustainability Solutions - Americas

See All Leadership

As Managing Director, Sustainability Solutions, I lead our business organization in North and South America. Our teams engage, advise and accompany our clients throughout their sustainability transformations, from strategy to implementation and beyond.

In what way do you and the teams you lead further ENGIE Impact’s mission to accelerate sustainable transformation?

Our teams want to do two things: meet businesses where they’re at now, and then help them drive their ambitions even further and faster. There is simply no time like the present to start. ENGIE Impact is an accelerator for businesses, helping them gain clarity on their ambition, deliver a business case that delivers a return on investment, engage their employees and customers, differentiate them from their peers, and then keep making progress. Sometimes going further, faster can be inspiring and momentum-building.

What does success at ENGIE Impact look like?

Success is closing the gap between publicly declared goals and how fast cities and companies are willing to move. If we don’t close the gap, we’re not making progress. There is no denying the authentic ambition from governments and businesses to achieve their sustainability goals. However, the reality of putting ambition into action is very complex. ENGIE Impact’s success is supporting our clients every step of the way, simplifying the complexity, and delivering roadmaps that ensure our clients deliver on the promises they are making to their stakeholders.

How did your background prepare you for this role at ENGIE Impact?

Throughout my professional career I have advised CEOs, boards, leadership teams and elected officials on sustainability with a particular focus on strategic transformation, innovation, impact measurement, leadership and culture change. I have a personal passion for the power of coalitions and bringing together these groups to drive a collective strategy. This prepares me well for engaging with business and government leaders on their sustainability journey.

  • Prior to this current role, I served with PWC since October 2011 as Sustainability Advisory Leader, Sustainable Business Solutions and was a Managing Director in the firm.
  • For the past three years, I have supported the World Business Council for Sustainable Development to lead a collaboration of more than a dozen global companies on Sustainable Lifestyles. The "Goodlife 2.0" aims to shift consumer aspirations, corporate marketing and innovation to make sustainable lifestyles available and accessible.
  • In my early professional career, I served as consultant at Accenture, The Boston Consulting Group, The Trium Group, and Blu Skye Sustainability Consulting, where I honed my experience developing and implementing value-creating strategies for large organizations.

What do you like to do when you’re not in the office?

When not working I love immersing myself in nature, whether that be hiking in my native home of Tasmania or skiing at Lake Tahoe. My family and I also recently relocated to New York City and are eager to explore the East Coast of the United States.
