Held September 21, 2020 | Region: EMEAI
At the onset of 2020, 84% of companies disclosing to CDP had publicly committed to reduce their GHG emissions. And yet, experts state that less than 28% of them are on pace to achieve their carbon targets. As Europe is now ambitioning climate neutrality by 2050, what are the levers that could foster the transition at the pace and scale needed? Industry leaders identified energy efficiency as a core component of the climate action. In fact, setting the right strategies for energy procurement, usage & reporting today will shape the decarbonization of infrastructure and industries in the next decades.
As part of ener.CON Europe 2020, Nicolas Lefevre-Marton, Managing Director, Sustainability Solutions - EMEAI from ENGIE Impact moderated a panel discussion on energy efficiency best practices and trends, led by Dr. Bernd Koch, Head Centre of Competence Distributed Energy Systems at Siemens Germany; Dr. Jürgen Landgrebe – Head of Division V at Umweltbundesamt; Herbert Maier – Head of Global Competence Center Energy & Utilities at Clariant; and Leo Pototzky – Head of Energy Efficiency at Bosch Rexroth.
