Singapore Exchange Regulation (SGX RegCo) announced climate disclosure rules in December 2021 after a public consultation. All Singapore listed companies must provide these disclosures on a ‘comply or explain’ basis in their sustainability reports for financial years (FY).
As part of this requirement, SGX is organising a series of Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) workshops coordinated by Global Compact Network Singapore (GCNS), to build capacity and assist listed companies in preparing to meet the recent climate-related reporting requirements.
Experts from ENGIE Impact APAC are pleased to support 2 workshops on 22 April and 6 May 2022 focusing on the transportation and maritime sector.
The workshops will aim to enable listcos to prepare to meet SGX’s new TCFD-aligned reporting regulations and facilitate internal capability building among listcos on TCFD reporting. Companies attending these workshops will take away:
An understanding of a case for climate-related reporting, SGX requirements and TCFD recommendation
The approach to implementing the TCFD recommendations
Identify and assess climate-related risks and opportunities (across the value chain)
