Donations provided to 30+ Bay Area organizations
We ensured reusable materials found a second home, identifying more than 30 local organizations to repurpose Super Bowl items after the game. Organizations included food banks and local schools and art studios.
Recycling bins added to Levi’s Stadium
We provided 200 extra recycling bins to Super Bowl LX, supplying 15,000 gallons of extra recycling capacity, with sustainability staff onsite to help fans properly sort waste. The team also implemented digital signage at Levi’s Stadium, announcing efforts to reduce contamination and increase recycling.
Improved recycling protocols
We tested enhanced behind-the-scenes waste sorting, which can be replicated for future stadium events. Behind the scenes, the team sorted through select waste bins to minimize contamination and maximize the number of bottles, cans, and materials recycled. These same sorting practices can be adopted for future Levi’s Stadium events, maximizing recycling diversion on an ongoing basis.
