SAN FRANCISCO – As the city gears up for Super Bowl LX, ENGIE Impact begins efforts to enhance sustainability at the stadium.
Director of Sustainable Mobile Operations Ryan Sclar and Manager of Sustainable Waste Advising Kimberley Jensen shared ENGIE Impact’s strategy for minimizing waste at this year's Super Bowl. The focus this year is on additional waste sorting and reducing the carbon footprint. Ryan emphasized the goal of improving with each event.
So we always match the stadium where they are. And we're lucky this year to be in a stadium that's already got a pretty good baseline for recycling for the way that they manage their waste and their carbon footprint. But we're always looking at what can we do to get to the next echelon...Our goal whenever we get on site is to always meet the stadium or the venue where they are and get a little better.
