As Managing Director, Sustainability Solutions, I lead our business organization in EMEA and APAC. Our teams advise and support global organizations in their transition towards Net Zero carbon.

In what way do you and the teams you lead further ENGIE Impact’s mission to accelerate sustainable transformation?

Our teams build strategic roadmaps and compelling cases for change that support decarbonization at pace and scale. Enabling the shift away from fossil fuels by planning, financing and delivering renewable energy, heat decarbonization, sustainable transportation and energy efficiency programs to meet increasingly challenging expectations.

What does success at ENGIE Impact look like?

Success is building a partnership with our clients that results in their successful sustainability transformation from strategy to implementation. Transformation at pace and scale requires long-term thinking and detailed planning to give clarity, de-risking investments, assessing all solutions, including hard to decarbonize areas such as green thermal energy. Our expert team and advanced digital tools allow us to take all this complexity into consideration and analyze the interconnections between projects to reach our clients' goals at lowest total cost of ownership.

How did your background prepare you for this role at ENGIE Impact?

I’ve been in the innovative tech and sustainability space since 2005 as an advisor and/or investor in a range of innovative tech and sustainability businesses, with a particular interest in AI:

  • Co-Founder, Chairman and Investor at LoopCycle, a first-of-its-kind technology platform for the Circular Economy, enabling companies to find high-quality uses for their surplus materials and waste streams.
  • Chairman at PIE Factory (formerly, EcoBooth), a company that transforms plastic waste into engaging events and experiences for environmentally conscious brands.
  • CEO of EcoAct UK (formerly, Carbon Clear), a company that provides climate advisory services to a quarter of the FTSE100 and a wide range of non-UK listed firms.

What do you like to do when you’re not in the office?

My ideal start to the day is walking with my dogs in Richmond Park, one of the largest parks in London, with hundreds of wild deer and almost 1000 hectares of space to roam. It gives me space to think, reflect and recharge before the busy day starts.
