As Managing Director, Sustainability Solutions I lead our business organization in the Asia Pacific region. Our teams engage, advise, and accompany our clients through every step of their sustainability transformation journey, from strategy to implementation and beyond.

In what way do you and the teams you lead further contribute to ENGIE Impact’s mission to accelerate sustainable transformation?

With a third of global GDP and two-thirds of the global population, Asia is increasingly at the heart of the global economy—and also at the epicenter of carbon emissions. More importantly, it is growing at a more rapid rate than other regions, and the time is now to manage the impact of this growth. By working with our clients to course-correct their operations and establish a trajectory of more sustainable growth, our sustainability solutions teams at ENGIE Impact are helping to lay the groundwork for a far greater positive future impact on the planet while maintaining Asia’s economic strength.

What does success at ENGIE Impact look like?

Success is making sustainability simpler for our clients, allowing them to hit their current targets and then be motivated and inspired to aim for more. As sustainability becomes the new normal in organizational operations, we will have contributed to keeping global temperature increases to well below 2 degrees C.

How did your background prepare you for this role at ENGIE Impact?

Energy and climate have been a passion and a common thread throughout my career.

  • Early in my career, I developed a foundational knowledge of climate change at McKinsey and Co., where I advised utilities and governments on GHG abatement as part of the Climate Change Special Initiative.
  • As Principal Consultant for Robert Bosch in South East Asia, I was responsible for helping commercialize technology projects in the areas of solar and energy storage, Internet of Things (IoT), smart buildings and homes and electric vehicle infrastructure.
  • As ASEAN Lead in Strategy & Sustainability, I led Accenture’s Sustainability Practice in Southeast Asia, working on sustainability topics ranging from emissions monitoring for governments to sustainability strategy for resource intensive conglomerates, to digital master planning for smart cities.
  • As Partner with Dalberg Advisors, I advised multilaterals, bilaterals, governments and global foundations on sustainable economic development.

What do you like to do when you’re not in the office?

I live in Singapore with my husband, two teenagers, and an adorable canine called Toffee, who also behaves like a teenager on most days. On weekends when not ferrying kids from one activity to another, I try to work on my (very amateurish) watercolor painting skills. I also love the mountains and try to make a break for hiking and wilderness whenever I can.
